DigiTech
DigiTech at The Patch primary aims to prepare our students for the exponentially ever growing demands of the world. We go from teaching functional skills of everyday devices, to safety online, responsible use and understanding of AI.
Students don’t just learn about the theory of these things, they are engaged in high levels of problem solving through different mediums, with a growing focus on following the design thinking processes of Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test.
As students progress in the years, they have the chance to understand coding language at varying levels, internal and external components of devices, 3D modelling/printing, digital design and game design. Partnered with this, is the learning of social skills, such as how to collaborate and work in a team to create something or address a problem.
